Very nice trench-art ashtray, made from a 75 mm US M18 tank shell, dated 1944 by CB & C. Co. This type of projectile was used predominantly in American Sherman and Hellcat tanks.
The ashtray was found in the village of Hatten in Alsace, France. It was found while clearing out an old house.
Very unique item.
