Super nice and desirable zinc Erkennungsmarke from a member of the 1./SS-Totenkopf-Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon II, one of the training units of the "Totenkopf" division. It was stationed in Weimar-Buchenwald in 1940 and 1941, and provided men to several SS-Totenkopf-Standarten.

Since this tag was found in Karelia some years ago, we assume it belonged to a member of SS-Kampfgruppe "Nord", which was formed from SS-Totenkopf-Standarten in early 1941.
