Really nice zinc Erkennungsmarke from a member of the 13./SS-Grenadier-Regiment 34, which was part of the Lettische SS-Freiwilligen-Division. The Latvian SS division was formed from the Latvian SS Legion in 1943, and renamed into 15. Lettische SS-Freiwilligen-Division in Autumn 1943.

The 13th company was an Infanteriegeschütz-Kompanie, equipped with heavy infantry guns. The tag is in extremely good condition and a textbook example of this regiment.

A small amount of tags of this unit were recently found near Sigulda, where the Latvian SS division was fighting in September 1944.
