Nice battlefield-found Wehrmacht single decal M42 helmet. It was found in the village near Ērgļi in northern Latvia. Near the helmet parts of a destroyed Sturmgeschütz have been found. It most certainly dates from the German retreat at the end of September 1944. The helmet itself is in good and solid condition considering it was buried for 80 years. It suffered from corrosion, but it might be cleaned further.

Remnants of its paint and Wehrmacht decal are visible.
