Really nice and interesting named, battle-damaged and camouflaged Wehrmacht M35 helmet. It was found in the area of Staraya Russa.
It has been painted several times, and several layers of the well-preserved paint are visible, including white camouflage. It must have seen some changing seasons before it got hit. The inside has also been very well preserved, with the liner ring still intact, much of the leather liner still there, as well as the name of Gefreiter Fick.
The helmet has an impressive (sniper) bullet hole, entering the front side of the helmet, and leaving through the backside.
It might be researched further.
Very interesting and impressive display piece.
