A nice and quite rare to find ID tag for a dog in the service of the Wehrmacht. It has an extra hole punched into it, which might have been done to facilitate a thicker cord. The condition is very nice. Several Wehrmacht and SS units had a so-called Hundestaffel, "dog unit".

They were trained at a special school together with their instructors.
