Nice aluminum Erkennungsmarke from a member of the 4./leichte Flak-Abteilung 753.

This Flak battalion was formed in Munich in July 1941 with four light batteries. In 1942, it was deployed to Russia and stationed in the Ostrov area from March 1942. From August 1942 to April 1943, the battalion was deployed in Staraya Russa.

The owner of this tag got KIA near Mavrino on 5 March 1943. He got his tag while he was serving with the Fliegerhorst-Kompanie Düsseldorf. We do not know the exact location where it was found, but the owner, who has been identified, lies now in a marked grave in Korpovo.
