German Erkennungsmarke of the 3./Ers.Btl. SS-”Germania”.

Very nice zinc id tag (erkennungsmarke) of a recruit in the 3rd company of the replacement battalion of regiment “Germania”.

It was found in the village of Kutsevolovka near the Dnepr river, where the 8. SS-Kav.Div. was fighting in October 1943. The tag has some stains of corrosion, but overall the condition is very good.

Very rare tag from a historical place.
