Very nice early zinc Erkennungsmarke from a member of the 1. Kraftfahr-Ersatz-Kompanie of the SS-Verfügungstruppe.

There were three variants of these tags, "S.S. Verfügungstruppe", "S.S. V.T.", and "Waffen SS". This one has the early "S.S. V.T." stamp.

It was found in Barvenkovo near Kharkov, where both the Wiking and Totenkopf division were fighting in 1943.

The tag itself is in ground-dug, but good solid condition.
