Very nice and rare zinc Erkennungsmarke from a recruit in the 2./SS-Ausbildungs-Bataillon z.b.V., a training unit which was formed in 1943 to provide recruits to the 14th Ukrainian SS division.

Many Ukrainian recruits were trained in this unit, and since this tag has been found in Ukraine, we assume it was worn by a Ukrainian volunteer. The tag is broken, but in very nice condition with the text clearly readable.

It is a textbook tag of this unit and they are not that common to find.
