Very rare zinc Erkennungsmarke from a member of the 7./SS-Ausbildungs-Bataillon z.b.V., which was formed in 1943 to provide the cadre for the newly formed Ukrainian SS division.

It consisted of twelve companies. In October 1943, the unit consisted of 160 officers and 3,208 Ukrainian recruits.

The tag was found in Ukraine, although we do not know the precise location.

The tag is in very good condition and a textbook example for this unit.
