Waffen-SS officer's visor cap eagle from Germany

Cost of delivery: €12

Really nice and rare zinc Waffen-SS visor cap eagle, marked RZM 1/67, indicating it was made by Augustin Hicke.

The eagle was found in Germany, in the Harz Mountains. Until April 27, 1945, approximately 100,000 German soldiers of all branches ended up there. The owner carefully drilled three holes in the eagle for sewing it onto his cap, bent it a bit to give it a better look, and might have removed the prongs for that reason.

One of the very best ground-dug eagles we have seen.

Wonderful display piece.
