Waffen-SS id tag 7.\/SS-Kav.Rgt. 2 <\/strong><\/p>\n

Extremely nice and rare zinc id tag (Erkennungsmarke) which belonged to SS-Hstuf. Otto Hampel<\/strong>, the company commander (Schwadronf\u00fchrer) of the 7.\/SS-Kav.Rgt. 2, then part of the SS-Kav.Brig.<\/p>\n

In July 1941, he got demoted for disciplinary reasons and became a platoon commander (Zugf\u00fchrer) in the 1.\/SS-Kav.Rgt. in Spring 1942. Later that year, he was again promoted to SS-Ustuf., then SS-Ostuf., and posthumously SS-Hstuf. The SS-Kav.Div.<\/strong> was fighting near Kharkov<\/strong> in 1943, and there is where the owner of the tag got killed on 23 August 1943.<\/p>\n

It was found in the village of Nizhny Bishkin on 17 September 2011<\/strong>, together with other items, like his Totenkopfring<\/strong>. We will provide the buyer of this tag with about 300 pages of documents from the German archive.<\/p>\n
