Extremely rare half zinc Erkennungsmarke from a member of the I./SS-Freiwilligen-Panzer-Grenadier-Regiment 49 "De Ruiter", which was a part of the 4. SS-Freiwilligen-Panzer-Grenadier-Brigade "Nederland". The tag was found together with the skull.

The skull is marked RZM 499/41, indicating Fritz Zimmermann as the maker. The prongs are missing, and it has suffered from corrosion, but it is very rare to find a skull in any condition that can be attributed to a unit or person.

The set was found near Auvere in Estonia. The tag is a textbook example for this unit and is very rare to come across.
