Cost of delivery: €12

Stunning and extremely rare zinc Erkennungsmarke from a member of the Stabskompanie/SS-Panzergrenadier-Regiment 21, which was part of the 10. SS-Panzer-Division "Frundsberg".

This division was formed on 1 March 1943 as 10. SS-Panzergrenadier-Division "Karl der Grosse", but reformed and renamed in 10. SS-Panzer-Division "Frundsberg" in October 1943, which means this tag was made after that time.

It is very rare to see tags issued on regimental level, since most members of such units were wearing the tag they were issued in a training and replacement unit, like the SS-Panzergrenadier-Ausbildungs-und-Ersatz-Bataillon 10. Although we don't know exactly where this tag was found, it was most probably thrown away in May 1945. The "Frundsberg" division was fighting near Dresden, close to the Czech border, and many members ended up in Czech Republic.

The tag itself is broken and not in the best condition, but it's solid, with the markings clearly readable.

Moreover, it is an exceedingly rare tag to find.
