Nice and rare Dutch armband from the Luchtbeschermingsdienst (LBD), which was the Dutch air protection service, equivalent to the German Luftschutz.

It was formed in 1939 and continued to exist during the war. These armbands were worn on the left sleeve. This particular armband belonged to the department of Gasverkenning (Gas reconnaissance).

It measures 42 x 12.5 cm, and is in really nice condition.

It was found near Amsterdam many years ago. Great display piece.
