In 1943, the Sports Badge for the War Wounded was created, allowing disabled veterans to attain the status of an SA badge under requirements lowered according to the degree of their individual disability.

This particular example is a ground-recovered relic, unearthed from a former RZM site in Bavaria. As such, it is in poor condition, bearing the heavy effects of long burial.

Despite this, it remains a genuinely rare item to encounter, and is offered as an authentic dug relic of historical interest rather than a display-grade piece.

A scarce find for the advanced collector of SA awards and ground-recovered militaria.
