Very nice and rare half zinc Erkennungsmarke from a recruit in the 4./SS-Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon "Westland", which was stationed in Klagenfurt in Austria, and which served as the training and replacement battalion for the SS-Division "Wiking".

This half tag was found near the village of Lysyanka, along the breakout route of the "Wiking" division on 17 February 1944.

The tag itself is in very good and solid condition. We don't know the original owner, but it might be further researched.
