Very nice and rare zinc Erkennungsmarke from a member of the SS-Totenkopf-Sturmbann Oranienburg, which was guarding the Sachsenhausen concentration camp.

These tags have a very specific font, and this is a perfect example of how these tags should look. It was found in Germany, although we do not know the exact location, but we presume it was found in the former Halbe pocket or north of Berlin.

The tag itself is in good condition, with the text clearly readable. Oranienburg-Sachsenhausen was one of the notorious camps where a lot of people died and suffered.

Very historical tag which must have been witness of the horrors which took place there.

Great display piece with a story to tell.
