Super nice and very rare example of a zinc Erkennungsmarke from a member of the 2./SS-Pz.Jäg.Abt. 15. The Lettische SS-Freiwilligen-Division was formed in September 1943 from the cadre of the Latvian Legion.

On 22 October 1943 the division was renamed in 15. Lettische SS-Freiwilligen-Division and later on, in June 1944, in 15. Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS (lett Nr. 1). As a part of the Lettische SS-Freiwilligen-Division, a Panzerjäger unit was formed.

Since this tag is stamped 2./Pz.Jg.Abt. Lett. SS-Frw.Div., it means it was most probably issued when the unit was raised in September 1943, which makes it a very rare example.

The tag itself is in amazing condition.
