Rare steel Erkennungsmarke from an Azerbaijani volunteer in the 4.(Aserb.)/Bau-Pionier-Bataillon 551. This construction battallion was deployed in southern Ukraine, Moldova, and Romania, where it got destroyed during the Jassy offensive in August 1944. The tag is heavily corroded, but solid and a very rare exemplar of an Azerbaijani volunteer.
