Super nice battle-damaged single decal SS M40 helmet from Padaoru. A small hamlet near Rakvere (Wesenberg). In this area, several Dutch SS units were stationed during the fightings at the Narva front in 1944.

It was found in a pile of stones in a field, together with other metal items. The shell is very solid and we think the maker is Quist.

The decal has suffered, but the runes are still recognizable. A very impressive SS helmet with an interesting background story.

To find an SS helmet from the Narva front is becoming rare.
