Perfect and very rare example of a worn late-war Estonian SS sleeve shield.

Many of these were found in the Dachau warehouses and were brought back as souvenirs. To find a worn one is much more difficult. They were exclusively worn by the 20. Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS (estn. Nr. 1), of which the remnants were captured by the Red Army.

What makes it more interesting is that it is attached to a black piece of cloth. We do not know the purpose of this. The stichting became partly loose in the corner, as can be seen in the pictures. It was found in Finland.
