Beautiful MG-34/42 drum magazine (Guttrommel 34) for fifty rounds, retaining most of its late-war blue-gray paint, as well as a yellow stripe (function unknown) and a unit mark from SS-Pionier-Bataillon 11 of the Nordland division.
It was found at the Luga front near Kingissepp, where the III.(germ.) SS-Panzer-Korps was holding positions at the end of January 1944. SS-Pionier-Bataillon 11 suffered heavy losses at that time.
Equipment with painted SS unit marks is very rare to encounter and it's the first drum like this we have encountered.
