Very nice and rare Erkennungsmarke from a member of Füsilier-Regiment 22, which was formed in November 1942 as part of the 1. Infanterie-Division.
This unit was fighting in Königsberg (nowadays Kaliningrad) in January and February 1945.
The tag was found in a forest about 3 kilometers from the road from Kaliningrad to Baltiysk. The tag is stamped "K.Gr. F.R. 22" with the number "133". It is in very good condition, and the abbreviation K.G. is very interesting and must stand for Kampfgruppe.
A rare tag to find from a famous battlefield.
