Very nice metal SS runes which were worn on black collar tabs by Latvian volunteers before they got their specific divisional collar tab designs.

These two runes were found near Gdansk (Danzig) in Poland. The 15. Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS (lett.Nr. 1) was formed in that area and sent to the front in Pomerania in January 1945.

Several Latvian training units ended up in the encirclement of Danzig and subsequent pocket southeast of the city.

Although these metal runes are heavily faked, we consider these to be unquestionably original.

The condition is very good (please note the glue applied).
