Luftschutz gladiator helmet

Very nice example of an early gladiator helmet from the type, marked RL2-38/28, which indicates it was manufactured by Paul Diener from Dresden.

It is the early three-piece version, with an early three-padded WW1-style liner, which are less commonly seen. It is painted in the typical dark-blue paint, and has a very nicely preserved Luftschutz decal on the front of the helmet. In the rear skirt of the helmet is the typical Luftschutz regulations decal, which is also very well preserved.

The overal patina of the helmet is wonderful and very attractive. Only the chinstrap is missing, but this can be easily resolved.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced no-brainer Luftschutz helmet, here it is.

Great display piece.
