Very nice small collection of Danish SS volunteer items.
It consists of a half zinc Erkennungsmarke from a member of the 6./SS-Freiwilligen-Panzer-Grenadier-Regiment 24 “Danmark” (a typical feature of these tags is the wrong regimental number 23), a trench-art signal casing from Demyansk, an unissued late-war Danish SS sleeve shield, and a postwar printed photo with the signature of Ritterkreuzträger Sören Kamm.
The text on the trench-art says “Fæstning Demjansk” (Demyansk fortress) and “For Erindring” (for memory). Trench-art always requires some faith, but we believe it is war-time made by a member of the SS-Freikorps Danmark, which was ressorting under the SS-Division "Totenkopf".
Very nice and rare grouping.
