Two Feldpost letters with envelopes from SS-Ustuf. Erwin Wagner, who was born on 18 February 1918 in Karlsruhe, and who served as a platoon commander in the 13./SS-Freiwilligen-Panzer-Grenadier-Regiment 49 "De Ruiter".

This was the regimental schweres Infanteriegeschütz company, equipped with heavy infantry guns. In August 1944, SS-Ustuf. Wagner became the commander of this unit, and was listed as missing in action during the retreat from Estonia on 24 September 1944. The letters are dated 7 February 1944 and 12 May 1944, and have been written from Narva. Both envelopes mention his name, rank and Feldpostnummer: 56045. Fieldpost from the Dutch SS brigade is almost impossible to find, and these are from a commanding officer.

Really nice and historically significant set.
