Really nicely preserved SS M40 helmet from the area of Novgorod in Russia.
It is in very typical condition for helmets from that area. Much of the paint has been preserved, as well a big part of the runes decal. It has been cleaned professionally, and the condition is nice and solid.
The Dutch and Flemish legions were fighting in the Novgorod area, as well as the 4. SS-Polizei-Division, but we don't know the exact location were it was found.
Very nice display piece with great character.
