A ground-recovered German M35 steel helmet shell from the Stalingrad battlefield, one of the defining engagements of the war in the East. The helmet has suffered extensive battle damage, with much of the shell torn away and numerous punctures and fragmentation strikes throughout. The remaining shell displays heavy oxidation and a deep, stable ground patina consistent with decades in the earth.

The helmet is named, adding a personal dimension rarely found on relic pieces like this.
