Cost of delivery: €8

Very rare stainless steel Erkennungsmarke from a member of SS-Panzer-Ausbildungs-und-Ersatz-Regiment, which was the training unit for tank crews and which was stationed in Sennelager near Paderborn during the entire war.

The tag was found together with the silver skull ring on the terrain of the former POW camp in Wickrathberg. The ring is stamped 835 on the inside.

Both the ring and tag are damaged but at the same time in very good condition.

SS Panzer Ausbildungs und Ersatz Regiment The regiment was originally formed in May 1943 as the SS Panzer Ersatz Regiment and was located in the training area of the SS Beneschau (Truppenübungsplatz der Waffen SS "Beneschau"). In November 1943, the regiment, renamed SS Panzer Ausbildungs und Ersatz Regiment, moved to the new SS Seelager training area (Truppenübungsplatz der Waffen-SS "Seelager") in Latvia, where Panzerbrigade Groß is formed from parts of the regiment in August 1944. The rest of the regiment moved to the Wandern Army Training Area (Heeres Truppenübungsplatz "Wandern") in August 1944 and to the SS Sennelager Training Area (Truppenübungsplatz der Waffen SS "Sennelager") near Paderborn in September 1944, where they remained until the end of the war.

A really nice set coming from the same SS tanker.
