Very impressive battle-damaged zinc id tag (erkennungsmarke) from the SS-Flak-Ausb.u.Ers.Rgt. which was found in Voka. On 18 August 1944 three members of the 9./SS-Frw.Pz.Gren.Rgt. 23 "Norge" got KIA in Voka, probably because of a bombing, because they had pieces of shrapnel all over their bodies.
This particular tag belonged to one of these three casualties, and the owner was a young German (the name will be provided to the buyer).
Extremely interesting tag which can be connected to a certain event at the Narva front. It doesn't become better than that.
