Wonderful and rare Erkennungsmarke from a recruit in the 5./SS-Feld-Ausbildungs-Bataillon "Wiking", which was the field replacement battalion for the 5. SS-Panzer-Division "Wiking".

It was found on the battlefield near Lysshanka, and was lost by a member of this unit during its break-out attempt from the Cherkassy pocket on 17 February 1944.

The tag is textbook and in very nice condition.
