Spectacular and extremely rare Erkennungsmarke from a member of the Stab I./SS-Freiwilligen-Grenadier-Regiment 86, part of the 32. SS-Freiwilligen-Grenadier-Division "30. Januar". It was originally formed as SS-Panzer-Grenadier-Regiment "Schill" in October 1944 but was renamed after its transfer to the 32nd SS division in February 1945.

This tag was found near Bestensee in the Halbe pocket, where this regiment was destroyed at the end of April 1945. The tag itself is in wonderful condition.

The slits are wider than normal and may be an indication that blank tags were not readily available.

Several of these tags were found some years ago, but this is the only one we can offer for sale.
