Very nice and solid early apple-green Wehrmacht M35 helmet, with remnants of both decals, and impressive battle-damage.

The helmet was recently found on the Sõrve peninsula on the island of Saaremaa. Sõrve is famous for the battle of Tehumardi in November 1944.

It is very rare to find any helmets which can be connected to these events, and this is a very nice exemplar. It most probably belonged to a member of Grenadier-Regiment 67, which was part of the 23. Infanterie-Division.
