Very nice zinc Erkennungsmarke from a recruit in SS-Panzer-Aufklärungs-und-Ersatz-Abteilung 1, which was formed in February 1944 at SS-Truppenübungsplatz Seelager near Riga, Latvia.

In August 1944, it moved to Wandern and then to Truppenübungsplatz Sennelager near Paderborn. It was the training and reserve unit for armored SS reconnaissance units.

The tag was found in Czech and is in rough condition, broken into four parts, but complete and with the text clearly readable. It has the classic font for these tags.

A very rare tag to find in any condition.
