Very rare half zinc id tag (erkennungsmarke) from SS-Gren.Ers.Btl. "Ost" (mot.), which only existed under this name for five months in 1943, when it was renamed into SS-Gren.Ers.Btl. 31.
The unit was housed in Breslau and served to provide soldiers to a wide array of units, like the Flemish SS-Frw.Stu.Brig. "Langemarck".
It was found in 2021 near Kharkov in Ukraine.
