Perfect set of three SS helmet cover clips, which have been found near Hiiemetsa, where SS-Freiwilligen-Panzer-Grenadier-Regiment 48 "General Seyffardt" was destroyed during its retreat from Narva on 26 July 1944.

For some reasons, the Dutch regiment, consisting of about 900 soldiers, didn't retreat fast enough and it got subsequently encircled along the railroad in the Hiiemetsa area. It is in this area these clips were found, so we can say with certainty it must have belonged to a member of this regiment, probably a Dutch volunteer.
