Wonderful ground-dug clasp to the 1914 Iron Cross 1st class. It's in extremely nice condition, complete with the pin and the ring on the backside.
It was found in 2021 near Liepāja (Libau) in Latvia, so it might have been lost or thrown away during the capitulation of the German Army in Kurland. These are very rare to find, and we have never seen a nicer example coming from the ground.
Beautiful museum-quality display piece.
