Beautiful and rare German school poster picturing Narva. The poster is undated, but it was printed in 1926, and most probably meant for use in the Deutsche Schule in Narva, which existed between 1919 and 1940. The text under the picture, showing the fortresses of Narva and Ivangorod, reads "Deutsch-Ordensburg und Stadt Narva in Estland".

In the lower-left corner it is written it was meant for the education of German minorities abroad ("Das Auslanddeutschtum im Unterricht"). In the lower right corner the names of Dr. Paul Rohrbach and Herbert Rudolph from Dresden are mentioned.

It was printed in Erfurt, Germany. The poster measures 68 x 96 cm, is still very strong and colorful, but has some damage (see the pictures).

At one point, some tape was used on the backside. We believe it would look incredible when framed.

A super interesting piece of German-Estonian history.
